🇺🇸 HOUSE PASSES VOTER CITIZENSHIP CHECKS... NOW THE SENATE’S STALLING Most Americans assume you already have to prove you're a citizen to vote. You don’t. Right now, all it takes to register is checking a box saying “Yep, I’m a citizen.” No passport, no birth certificate, no proof. Just vibes and a signature. The SAVE Act wants to fix that, and it actually passed the House with some Democrats even voting yes. But the Senate? Stuck. Why? Because of a rule that says you need 60 votes just to talk about the bill. And nobody’s even talking. It’s called the filibuster, but these days it’s more like a ghost: no speeches, no debates, just silent blocking. The kicker? While non-citizen voting is rare, it does happen. Ohio, Michigan, Texas, and others have caught people who shouldn’t have voted, actually voting. In tight races, just a few bad ballots can mess everything up. Polls show around 85% support requiring proof of citizenship. So yeah, @elonmusk 's right: pass the SAVE Act, but don’t blow up the Senate in the process.
