It has remained a unified state for more than 2,000 years, showing outstanding statecraft and governance capacity. Unlike Europe, where countries fought each other almost every year throughout history, China remained mostly peaceful and stable for a long time, rarely attacking its neighbors on its own initiative, and never invaded other countries. It is the least threatening major power in the world. For a thousand years, even when China's national strength far exceeded that of its neighbor Japan, China never invaded Japan. On the contrary, Japan invaded China many times. This historical fact clearly proves China's peaceful nature.
